 MY ART

My passion and skill relates to leadership development for individuals and groups in high performance environments. I am interested in how individuals carrying a significant organisational role might be better equipped to work in complex environments, become more adaptive and deepen their self awareness, all in order to become more effective leaders. Working in this field requires an ongoing focus on my own growth, given my assumption that there is no end to how we might develop as human beings.

MY PRACTICE

The development work I do best and love, is to work with groups striving to be courageous with each other, align their purpose and achieve individual and organisational results. I have deep experience and expertise in coaching, facilitation and co-facilitation. My gift is supporting a group to relax into courageous growth experiences quickly. In my mind, nothing is undiscussable as long as it is delivered with integrity and courageous authenticity.

MY SCIENCE

With a career anchored in leadership development in academic, corporate and government contexts, my depth of experience over 35 years counterbalances my constant interest in emerging ideas, research and innovative methodologies that all enable transformational leadership development. My qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts (Monash University), a Diploma of Education (Monash University) Graduate Diploma of Training & Development (Melbourne University). I am also accredited through the Psychodrama Institute of Melbourne (PIM).

I am an Associate of the Melbourne Business School (MBS), and l have led research into the role of the Inner Critic and the way it can inhibit high performance and personal and professional joy. l speak at conferences on this topic and am interested in how we can be more efficient, effective and confident as we deepen our  awareness about this phenomenon, and make conscious choices about the way we relate to ourselves and each other.

I have designed and facilitated leadership programs and processes for National Australia Bank, BHP Billiton, the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) ANZ, Caltex, Freehills, Berry Street Victoria, ABL, Maddocks, Hall & Wilcox, Allens, Lander & Rogers, Carroll O’Dea and Gadens, Macquarie Bank, CSIRO, King Wood Mallesons, REA and Telstra amongst others, and have an ongoing relationship with many of these organisations. My accreditations include a range of development tools including The Leadership Maturity Profile, LSI and The Leadership Circle.
